My Chinese Chess Journey

I started to learn my chinese chess since I was 10 years old. That time I just studied an standard 4. I still remember, that time I was playing with my classmate and I won the match. Starting that time, I started to play chinese chess with everyone surround me especially my grandpa. He is the most strong among my families. Even my daddy and my uncles also lose to him. Therefore, almost everyday I also play chinese chess with my grandpa.
When I was 12 years old, this year is my very important year to face UPSR ( Ujian Peperiksaan Sekolah Rendah or Primary School Evaluation Test). I still remember I still played my chinese chess with my grandpa, but next day is the first day of the examination. My parents scolded at me, go do my revision. But I refused and continue with my chinese chess. Luckily, my result was not bad.

When I went to my secondary school life, I was starting to find chess club in school. Luckily I got it and I kept on find people who knows play chinese chess. We became good friends, chess mates and best competitors. I feel glad to know them.

I started my first state level chinese chess competition when I was 16 years old. That time I was highly confident, because I won my chess mate more than I lose to them. But unfortunately, there are always people who more strong than you. I achieved middle in the ranking list. It damaged my confident a lot, but I still not giving up. I told myself I must at least achieve a trophy in state level competition.

On next year, I attend again. But i still cannot won any trophy. When I was 18 years old, I being appointed from my daddy's friend to teach small kid how to play chinese chess. On that same year, I won my first trophy from my district level with  the result of eighth place.

Then, I stopped to play chinese chess for one and a half year due to fully focus on my STPM (Sijil Tinggi Peperiksaan Malaysia or Malaysian Higher School Certificate). When I further study my degree level to University, I continue back to my chinese chess. And I think in university life I was achieving the highest result in my life so far. I won a lot of trophy and hampers for each competition being organized in university in every semester.

In year 2015, I attend my state level chinese chess competition and I won my very first trophy from here with the result fourteenth place.

I believe that my chinese chess journey will not giving a full stop in my life. And I truly believe there will be more trophy and achievement unlock in the future of my life.
